LONGVIEW, WASH. - Randall T. Baierl, age 51, died on Tuesday Nov. 18, 2003,at the Hospice Care Center in Longview, Wash. He was born on Aug. 15, 1952, in Madison to Gordon and Mildred (Smedbron) Baierl. He graduated from Madison West High School in 1970 and attended the University of Wisconsin. He was a member of the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps and The Blue Stars of La Crosse. Randy was dedicated to working with many youth organizations in Wisconsin, Canada, Texas and California, before settling in Washington in 1987. While in Washington he was Executive Director of the Marauders Drum and Bugle Corps andfounder of the Northern Lights Youth Organization. For the last five years he was co-owner of a custom apparel and sign company with his brother Jim.Survivors include his wife, Linda of Madison; two daughters, Jamie ofLongview, Wash. and Kari of Madison; his mother, Mildred Baierl of Madison; two brothers, Dean (Patty) Baierl of Madison and James (Denise) Baierl of Longview, Wash.; and a sister, Susan (Don) Heilman of Middleton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon and brother, Robert. At his request, no service will be held.
